Beautiful Snowy Run

Dave and I have been trying hard to get back into working out and becoming healthier. We have started running again and Dave is even riding his bike to work and back. The beginning is always the hardest to keep motivated and it is easy to get down on yourself and feel like it is an endless battle of failure.

"No one likes to FAIL...but, we MORTALS DO NOT become champions without making mistakes"-Deter f. Uchtdorf-

We need to push forward from our mistakes and never look back. We are not headed backwards but forwards so we have to look forward to our future and future successes.

We decided to push through and celebrate our little successes.  I want to share with you one of mine.

I decided to run. There is a beautiful path near our home and so I decided to run it. It took me past a few beautiful places.
To start out, my run was on an icy path that ran along the roadway.

It then took me through concrete canyon. (it is a small roadway running between to cement walls)

This was a beautiful golf course with trees and beautiful untouched snow.

The path continued on through the snow and trails, it was a perfect run to enjoy and reflect on the many blessings and beauties that God has given me.

Even the way the snow hit the trees made me appreciate the  beauty that is all around us. It really helps to slow down and appreciate the little things.

One of the most beautiful parts was when the sun begins to set over the lake

The run the beauty all helped me to see that we need to

"Enjoy the little things in life.
For someday you will realize
they were the BIG things."
